Mini AIMers -- the column for young miniaturists

We have lots of goodies lined up for you in this bumper edition that covers Christmas and the New Year.

You will find our very first competition, which has a Xmas theme.....and some lovely prizes, including a beautiful set of picture frames, one of Fiona Broadwood's wonderful project books, a winter jumper & hat set, craft supplies and more..... The eagle-eyed amongst you should enjoy trying to spot all the differences in the pictures! There are lots of projects for you to try, from very easy, to quite difficult.....but just rope in an adult or two if the going gets tough! There are even some freebies for those who are quick off the mark.....but you will have to get your skates on as there is just one kit for each of the selected projects.

We kick off this month with an article sent in by Ellie (remember her lovely Miniatura report last month?). She tells us how she combined her love of animals with her dollshouse....and ended up with a vet's surgery!

COMPETITION !

Below you will see two pictures that look identical, but on closer inspection, you will begin to spot some differences. This is a cosy Xmas room made in a hatbox (something you might like to try for yourselves as many of the things are covered in the projects section), but ten things have been changed in the second picture.

You might find it easier to print out the pictures (ask permission first!).

Make a list of as many differences as you can find and email them to me (Margaret) at

minimilliner@blueyonder.co.uk  by the 12th January. Don't worry if you can't spot them all (some are quite difficult).....just tell me what you have found.

The winners and the answers will be published in the February edition of the magazine.

PROJECTS

All the projects this month have a Xmas theme.

To encourage you to have a go, I have some free packs of the materials needed for four of the projects below (one pack per project).  So four lucky people need only send me a S.A.E. and they will receive their pack. (It does not include things like glue or scissors – just the actual bits & pieces required to do the project. The first person to email me for each project will be sent the address to post their S.A.E. Don’t forget to tell me which project you would like! Email Margaret at minimilliner@blueyonder.co.uk

You can choose from:
