Real Art in a Miniature World..and more..

Dave Williams began painting in miniature way back in 2000 by painting a picture for a friend’s doll’s house, this first commission very quickly evolved into a part time then on to a full time business.

Harvington Miniatures offer many types of different paintings, including copies of the Old Masters, but specialising in topographical scenes for collectors from the Dolls House fraternity and the Art Collectors World. Dave’s paintings are in private collections all around the globe and his paintings can be seen also on the BBC website.

Dave is also now making period style furniture amongst other miniature items.

Frames

After spending quite a few years looking for the right frame to set his paintings off,  Dave decided that after spending many hours on a painting he would have to make his own, cheap foreign imports were just not suitable. Harvington Miniatures’ which is owned and run by Dave and his wife Pauline, have a very special range of miniature frames, they now also offer a unique framing service, got a nice picture that deserves to be in a nice frame, then email for more details.

The future

Harvington Miniatures did their first fair in 2008 and now plan to exhibit at a lot more.

Due to demand Dave is also painting more in the 1/24th scale and although he has painted in micro scale this is not something that figures strongly in his future plans.

New paintings always being added, suggestions are always welcomed for what scenes to paint for the fairs.
