By Josephine Parnell of Dolls House Bears...

Klondyke Pete is a 'one of a kind' original made by me.
He is based partly on an original suggestion from my eldest grandson, Courtney, and combined with wanting to make something to help celebrate the 50th Miniatura show I came up with the phrase "there's gold in them thar hills" and Klondyke was born.
He was first on public display at the first Miniatura show of the year and will be seen again at the Scottish Miniatura, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, June 14th and 15th. as well as the next NEC Birmingham show 4th and 5th October ( www.miniatura.co.uk ). He is also featured on my web site.

He has been prospecting for years and has, at last, struck it rich.

He is an Original Design Dolls House Bear in 12th scale. Approximately 5 and a half inches tall. Made from fine ultra-suede with black Onyx bead eyes, with eyelids and even has thumbs that grip. He is fully poseable and has a turning head. He comes as part of a set piece with some of his personal items and tools, i.e. Pick, Shovel, Lamp, Pipe, Bowie Knife, Barrel and Jug of Moonshine.
The background picture was painted by me some 20 years ago and will not be with him but the rest will be.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust...

He is currently still for sale at £150.00 and all of the money will be donated to the charity The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, ( www.cftrust.org.uk ) in the name of my youngest grandson, Vincent, who was born with this affliction.
