Todd Toys and Miniatures Philippa Todd makes fine quality 1/12th and 1/24th scale food, specifically for the adult collector’s market. Each piece is hand crafted, highly detailed and very realistic. The authentic foods cover all cuisines and historical periods. Considerable research ensures the period foods are accurate in both form and presentation. The tea table shown below is based on the tea served at the Ritz Hotel London. The hotel kindly opened the Palm Court restaurant early so she could photograph and measure the cakes and sandwiches. The swan pie is a replica of a pie served at a banquet given by the Grocers’ company in their Livery Hall in 1566. Complete meals are a speciality although her range extends from single items through to elaborate buffets or filled shop counters. Commissions are welcome.
Philippa is an IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans) scholar and Artisan and member of The British Toymaker’s Guild. She is also Secretary of the British Polymer Clay Guild.
Philippa has written regular articles for Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine and Dolls House Projects Magazine.
She teaches classes in the UK and also in America. This year she is also teaching in Denmark at the Miniature in Tune week of workshops.
