Hand crafted miniatures...

Coombe Crafts was established in a small village in Wiltshire by two friends in the mid 80s to produce unusual and original craft items. An especial interest was always dolls - dolls with a difference. So we produced poppy seed-head dolls, soft sculpture dolls and apple-head dolls - all sorts of dolls were made from all sorts of materials.

A chance encounter with Pat Cutforth and the Marlborough Dolls House Fair, led us into our first miniature work.

A bit of background

We try and juggle our time to attend a limited number of fairs, as it is important to stay in touch, while allowing us to deal with mail order and commission pieces as well as continuing to develop our work.

If someone had said back then that I’d still be crafting 20 years later, and posting to Europe and U.S.A., I would have laughed! But it is still fun and challenging, and with the advent of the internet, we hope we can reach even more miniature enthusiasts and make new friends.

1/12th scale dolls

Attractively priced from around £20 to £35, we are happy to discuss any character or costume you may have in mind.

Because we produce such a variety, it is impossible to list or show them all here, but these are our most popular, and the pictures we have selected should give a good flavour of our characters; others can be seen in the commissions section.

1:24th Scale Dolls...

1/24th dolls priced from around £10 to £17

We are always happy to undertake commissions

and enjoy the challenge of bringing to life someone else's ideas...
